Protection and Gender Integration Technical Support

Project details:

Mainstreamed protection and gender considerations across humanitarian response programs, ensuring that interventions were inclusive, safe, and aligned with international protection standards. Delivered trainings on Protection Minimum Standards to frontline staff and implementing partners, strengthening their capacity to identify, prevent, and respond to protection risks in crisis contexts. Supported the development and refinement of data collection and reporting tools to ensure gender- and protection-sensitive monitoring.

This work aligned with AVC’s facilitation of a high-level, multi-stakeholder strategic retreat aimed at shaping a unified national development agenda. The retreat brought together government officials, development partners, and civil society to define national priorities, measurable outcomes, and policy alignment. Using participatory approaches—such as SWOT analysis and outcome mapping—AVC guided the development of a strategic framework that included SMART goals, aligned KPIs, and a clear implementation roadmap. This process enhanced policy coherence and laid the foundation for coordinated, inclusive national development efforts.
